This week, I decided to add some protein to my hair. It is quite dry and it's breaking a bit more than usual. I find that it looks a bit weak and I need to revive it A.S.A.P!
This is the first time that I am using a protein base shampoo, and the only results I am hoping for is stronger and healthier hair.
Instead of asking my BF for his car, (I hate driving) I bused to the Rideau Centre to see if Sephora had any products of interest. Please note, that before I left I did do some research and I already had in mine to purchase FF-Protein Rx Reparative Shampoo.
It's kind of pricey... 25$ for the bottle. But I later found out it was worth the money.
This is what it promised:
Protein Rx Reparative Shampoo is ideal for brittle, broken hair that has been weakened from coloring, relaxing, or heat styling. An exclusive soy and milk protein complex restores and reinforces hair, preventing future breakage and leaving hair stronger and more manageable.
Conclusion:
It is a great moisturizing shampoo, but I do not think it is a great strengthening shampoo.
I love the smell and the creamy texture of it and my hair looked great, but I do not think it worked so great for it's repair and strength.
I will definitely be using this once my Neutrogena Triple Moisture Shampoo s done, so I do not believe that I wasted my money. (Unless, I find it @ Winners!)
Rating: 3.5/5 (Acceptable Substitute!)
